The information available on or through this website is intended to provide general educational information to the public. It is a compilation of information that has been provided voluntarily by a large number of people. Leading Field Trips

If you are the leader of a field trip, you should always inspect sites beforehand and develop your own specific safety / risk management plan taking into account all hazards that can be reasonably predicted. This should take into account your observations and judgements of the potential environmental conditions, your personal experience of leading field trips, the capabilities of the participants in your charge and available expert advice including weather, tide or snow conditions and any other pertinent information.
